Daisy Clinic – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Getting Started

Q: How do I request therapy at Daisy Clinic?

You can reach out through our website, email us at therapy@daisyclinic.com, or call 425-365-0200. Once we receive your request, we’ll check availability.

Q: How quickly will I hear back?

We respond within 24–48 business hours by email or phone.

Q: What happens first?

You’ll be invited to schedule a free 15-minute virtual consultation by phone, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom.

Q: What is the purpose of the free consultation?

This short call helps you connect with a clinician, ask questions, share briefly your goals, and decide if our services are the right fit before scheduling a full appointment.

Appointments & Intake

Q: What happens after the consultation?

If you decide to continue, we’ll schedule your first full intake session (60). This initial session allows your therapist to review your intake forms, understand your history, have assessment/evaluation, and discuss your goals in depth. You’ll receive a secure email link with one-time intake forms to complete before your appointment.

After the intake, standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. These sessions focus on building skills, processing challenges, and working toward your goals.

Q: Which forms will I need to complete?
  • Standard Intake Questionnaire
  • Consent for Telehealth Consultation
  • Informed Consent for Psychotherapy
  • Practice Policies Agreement
  • Credit Card Authorization
Q: Will I receive any complex assessments/evaluation?

Yes, depending on your needs, we may send additional assessment or monitoring questionnaires. These help us understand your symptoms, personality traits, and coping skills so we can create a personalized therapy plan.

Therapy Sessions

Q: What therapy techniques do we offer?

WDaisy Clinic offers a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to individual needs, including:

  • Neuro-Psychotherapy – an approach that combines neuroscience with traditional psychotherapy techniques (such as CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based modalities) to help clients create lasting neural and behavioral change. Psychoeducation is a key element of this approach, using the CEON framework to help clients understand how their brain, emotions, and behavior interact.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Mindfulness therapy
  • Motivational Interviews
  • Family Systems Therapy
  • Play Therapy
  • Trauma-Focused Therapy
  • and others

Our clinicians are trained in these evidence-based approaches to address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, and more. Each therapy plan is personalized to the client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Q: What does a typical therapy session look like?

Sessions are tailored to your goals. Therapists may use talk therapy, cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, or skill-building exercises. Some sessions include practical tools or cognitive tasks to strengthen executive function and emotional regulation.

Q: How long are therapy sessions?

Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Longer sessions may be arranged if needed.

Q: How often will I need therapy?

Most clients start with weekly sessions, but frequency depends on your needs and goals.

Q: What is the goal of therapy?

Our aim is not only symptom relief but long-term growth. Healing is possible when new brain neural pathways are built through techniques/practice and support.

Q: What’s the difference between a therapist, a counselor, and a neuropsychotherapist?

In the state of Washington, there is no technical difference between a mental health therapist and a mental health counselor—the terms are interchangeable. You may also see other labels such as provider, practitioner, or specialist, depending on the setting.

neuropsychotherapist, however, combines traditional psychotherapy techniques (like CBT or DBT) with neuroscience to address how the brain, emotions, and body interact. They often include psychoeducation and specific neuro-based strategies to support mental health.

Q: How can I get the most out of therapy?

To get the most out of therapy, be an engaged and active participant. Share your goals and what you hope to achieve, focus on the issues that concern you most, and be open and honest about your experiences. Discuss your frustrations with relationships, self-esteem, work, or school, and provide feedback about how therapy is helping—or not helping—you. Keep an open mind, and practice the strategies and skills you learn in your everyday life.

Q: What does it mean that a therapist is a mandatory reporter?

Being a mandatory reporter means that all licensed therapists are legally obligated to take action if a client expresses intentions to harm themselves or others. This law exists to protect both the client and the safety of those around them.
